Developing Skills in Health and Social Care
Norfolk County Council and Suffolk County Council are currently providing access to fully-funded qualifications in health and social care. This training is for existing health and social care staff who live and work in Norfolk and Suffolk.
Qualifications include
- Functional Skills (maths, English and ICT)
- Level 1 Qualification embedding the Care Certificate
- Level 1 Course in strengths based and person-centred approaches
- Level 2 Dementia
- Level 2 Autism
- Level 2 Learning disabilities
- Level 2 Mental health
- Level 2 End of life
- Level 4 Programme for aspiring managers
The training qualifications will take approximately 20-50 hours to complete. They can be completed flexibly to suit both the employee and employer.
Mentoring and support
All participants will have access to ongoing 1:1 mentoring and support. This will help participants complete their qualification and progress onto higher learning opportunities.There is a strong commitment to support people who may face barriers accessing learning and the project wants to help them engage in educational and professional development opportunities.
COVID-19 precautions
All training and mentoring will take place in line with government guidelines. Due to COVID-19, it is anticipated that most project activity will be delivered remotely until further notice.
