Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) webinars
NHS Digital are running webinars for organisations completing Data Security and Protection Toolkit, including one aimed specifically at care providers. The sessions will cover a demo of how to complete a Data Security and Protection Toolkit and include a question and answer session from the DSP Toolkit team.
The Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) is an online self-assessment tool for data security.
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) recommend that all social care Providers complete the Toolkit as they will hold, process or share personal data. The is not just about your technology. It is about any information you hold about any person – staff, residents or visitors and is completely free to access.
Small organisations which have not previously published a full DSPT assessment are able to publish an ‘Entry Level’. For providers, completing and publishing an ‘Entry Level’ toolkit assessment also supports access to NHSmail, a centrally funded email service that is free for social care providers to use. Further information for social care providers is available here and an Entry level Step by step guide is available.
Webinars are currently being run, join to watch a demo and to have your questions answered.
