‘Feeling valued’ Conversations for front line staff - Skills for Care workshop

‘Feeling Valued’ is a half day interactive, consulting workshop for managers of front-line staff who want to upskill their workforce in effective, clear communication methods to improve the care and support their clients receive.

The workshop is being delivered for employers who will contribute and help Skills for Care shape this work and is therefore an interactive session.

The content is aimed at adult social care employers of all sizes who are interested in learning new tools to use in induction or supervision that will support and help retain staff.

Learning objectives include:

  • Embedding and practising values within the workplace
  • Understanding self-reflection
  • Learning about a strengths-based approach
  • Introduce concept of a valuable conversations approach
  • Developing a learning culture within social care settings

The workshop content will be offered alongside other Skills for Care resources to support the sector to show how they value and retain their staff, once the pilot session has completed and been evaluated.

Please note, these workshops have been subsidised by funding from the Department of Health and Social Care, for the benefit of adult social care employers. Skills for Care reserves the right to withdraw places if we deem them inappropriate.

Wednesday 11 September 2019, 09:30 - 14:30, Hallmark Hotel, Cambridge.
