Dementia Walks Checklist and Toolkit
Walking is a fantastic way for people living with dementia to be active, with benefits including reducing the severity of some symptoms, improving their overall wellbeing, and helping reduce feelings of isolation within their community.
The Norfolk Easy Ambles toolkit includes a checklist of things to consider including practical considerations and reminiscence prompts to stimulate memories and conversation. There's also a video explaining the process of mapping a dementia-friendly walk.
The Norfolk Easy Ambles series is a suite of 9 walking routes that have been designed to support people living with dementia and their carers to enjoy an accessible walk, with points of interest and sensory talking points to engage in conversation and stimulate reminiscence.
