Skills for Care Top Leaders Programme

The Skills for Care Top Leaders programme focuses on the key challenges facing the health and social sector, but also looks at the new models of care and future innovations within the sector. It aims to improve your effectiveness as a leader within, and across organisational boundaries to achieve the greatest impact at multiple levels for people who need care and support.

The programme will allow you to meet other senior leaders in the same roles and situations as you, with whom you can learn from and share issues and ideas.  It will give you the opportunity to collaborate with other organisations and you will discover ways to build stronger networks and utilise your own existing connections.

It will focus on tools and techniques to give you the confidence and ability to increase your own personal reach and influence within your organisation, and across sectors, to identify and lead change effectively.

You’ll enhance your leadership capabilities and learn about your own leadership style, emotional intelligence and behaviours and how to communicate and influence more effectively within the sector.

You’ll expand your political intelligence and understand the importance of the political climate and how to influence and communicate within it.

There will also be lots of opportunities to engage in thoughtful discussions with your peers and learn from our specialist guest speakers who will lead interactive sessions around many topics including personal impact, the psychology of leadership and resilience.
