Virtual Jobs Fair for social care providers in Norwich
Norwich Jobcentre is adapting its recruitment approach in response to COVID19. They are currently gauging interest amongst social care employers - in the Norwich and surrounding area - in joining a Virtual Jobs Fair using Twitter.
This will be the first Virtual Jobs Fair for Norwich Jobcentre. They are keen to support recruitment in social care by enabling you to reach a larger pool of applicants to fill your vacancies. All tweets will be retweeted and supported via their local Twitter account @JCPInNorfolk.
The Virtual Jobs Fair will support people interested in social care work by linking them with local employers who are recruiting. It will also include information about training opportunities and job hunting tips.
The date and time of the fair is to be confirmed; but provisionally they are considering 18th June from 11am to 12 noon.
How does a Virtual Jobs Fair using Twitter work?
All the employers need to do is tweet your vacancies using #NorwichVirtualJobsFair and tagging @JCPinNorfolk. The Jobcentre team will liaise with employers to stagger tweets throughout the event. Some of the companies receiving this invitation may not be familiar with Twitter. It will involve your company signing up with Twitter to create an account. The standard Twitter service is free of charge to businesses as well as individuals using this social network. Increasingly social media is being readily used by business to recruit.
During the event people looking for work will be encouraged to visit Twitter and search #NorwichVirtualJobsfair to view the job tweets. People can view the jobs even if they’ve not set up a Twitter account.
Please email Joy Moore (see below) by Monday 1st June to confirm if your company would like to join the Virtual Jobs Fair or private message the @JCPInNorfolk Twitter account. They will get back to you to confirm the date and time for the fair, and a suggested time for your company to Tweet. The DWP and their partners will promote the Jobs Fair to increase your outreach.
