Nurses in social care: Meeting the new standards of proficiency - free webinar
A free webinar for registered nurses working in social care focusing on the new standards of proficiency from the Nursing and Midwifery Council is taking place on Monday 2nd March, 3-4pm.
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has a wide range of resources that can support registered nurses working in social care to meet the new standards of proficiency from the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). This webinar aims to inform nurses about the resources and will focus on two platforms of particular relevance to person-centred care: platform 3 assessing needs and planning care, and platform 5 leading and managing nursing care and working in teams.
An overview of the NMC standards of proficiency and the range of related NICE resources.
- An overview of the recent Skills for Care statement describing the role, knowledge, and skills of registered nurses working in the adult social care sector in England – it will highlight how NICE recommendations and resources can be used to upskill nurses through training, supervision, assessment, and return to practice support.
