Positive Behavioural Support training for LD care providers

Norfolk County Council is looking to support providers in their training needs around Positive Behavioural Support.

With the recent release of the Core Capabilities Framework for Supporting People with Learning Disabilities (2019), Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) has been identified as best practice and staff who support those with learning disabilities are expected to have training in this area. This will eventually become a part of Norfolk County Council contractual obligations for learning disability social care providers, in line with government policy.

NCC have allocated funding to subsidise PBS training for providers who support people with learning disabilities. This will be delivered by the British Institute for Learning Disabilities (BILD) in the coming year. To access this training, please fill in the survey (link below) in full. This information will be used as a data capture to measure the effectiveness of the training and will remain anonymous.
